The Story
Born in Foster Care
Wesley's story didn't start on a basketball court. Growing up in foster care taught him resilience before he understood what that word meant. While others had a safety net, he learned to build his own. Those early years of uncertainty, instability, and survival shaped the champion mindset that would later define his athletic career and inspire everyone he meets. His success isn't just about basketball—it's about overcoming the odds that most wouldn't survive.
From Court to Community
Wesley's journey is one of perseverance and purpose. Through early struggles, he kept his hand to the plow and never gave up on himself. At Collinwood High School, he began excelling in the classroom and discovered his gift for basketball.
Earning a full athletic scholarship to Robert Morris University, Wesley graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Science Administration, made the Dean's List, and earned his conference's MVP award.
Professional Success
After college, Wesley played professional basketball for 12 years with experience in the NBA, Europe, and South America. His career spanned multiple championships and elite-level competition across three continents.
Today, Wesley channels all his experience into Fundamentals First Basketball Academy, where he cultivates youth through academic programs, motivational speaking, skill development, and college/professional recruitment support.
